Extremely sensitive to the rustlings of the plant world and its interactions with humans, in Earths Louise Vanneste offers a choreographic piece that has something of a forest landscape or botanic garden about it.
Inhabited by a writing of movement that is her own, she liberates the four dancers, like essences, from their desire to be active in favour of intuition and listening: listening to others, to the imagination, to the surrounding space.
Flowing from it is a vibrant and vital dance that surprises with its bursts and delicate gestures, its elusive flows of energy. A carpet of moss and a ligth set, a small ecosystem on stage, provide the ground and the foundation for these organisms that are communicating in secret. The bodies gradually form a community, forge associations and come apart again. Scents from flowers, root systems, the cohabitation of plants – a forgotten world is revealed and nature reasserts itself.
