TP #20 — Dirty Feet

Jules Rozenwajn

Jules Rozenwajn’s hybrid material has been shaped by the meeting of several organic practices: Capoeira, contemporary dance, acrobatics, Breakdance, but also physiotherapy. In his workshop Dirty Feet, he invites the dancers to discover the tools of these different techniques so that each one develops his own animal gestures.

With the will to integrate a biomechanical approach in the relationship to the movement, the dancers will first be brought to experiment the deep self-massage, which allows to release the myo-fascial tensions (muscle and fascial), while plunging the bodies in a certain body conscience, and in a better connection with the ground.

In constant dialogue with their body, the dancers will then be able to explore the floor work by breaking down the language of the break-contemporary technique, according to the specificity of its supports, its virtuosity, its creativity – that we find in the codes of freestyle… The dancers will be guided through improvisation tools and other exercises explored in the research work he is doing within the Abis Company.
