TP #11 — Dancer training

We will work on the body as an expressive force.

Firstly, by allowing it to be available to movements.
Through wait and momentum as a drive, we will be searching a singular and an authentical movement.
Authentical will be heard here as the Greek roots “authentikos” meaning which can define its own authority.

Secondly, we will research during the week through practicing improvisations how to create a rhetoric in dance.
How to convince, make a point, explain, enlighten or conceal.
We will work on punctuating our danced discourse in order to create meanings and render the body legible.

Finally, we will approach learning choreographic phrases to train new ways to create a poetic in movements.
