Charleroi danse s’engage à produire, présenter et accompagner les œuvres des artistes Ayelen Parolin et Louise Vanneste durant trois années de 2017 à 2020.

Louise Vanneste has called her company Rising Horses, a derivative of racehorses. The animal reference is never far away with this Brussels-based choreographer who loves to produce a combination of grace and instinctive casualness in her works. Proof of this can be found again in Thérians, a word that comes from therianthropy which, for the uninitiated, is the mythological ability of human beings to metamorphose into animals. From the parading and marriage rituals of birds, she retains the body’s ability to metamorphose, to adopt a different sex, acknowledged by Virginia Woolf as providing inspiration for her Orlando. Keen on the dark black of photography, with her usual associates and the young Youness Khoukhou she intends to reinvent for the stage a kind of awakening of a mysterious nature. Initially a retinal experience that demands eyes that can see well in the dark, her work transports you on an intense physical adventure.
