TP #2 — Fusion

This workshop takes place in the continuity of the work of the creation  La cage , the very first solo of Faraja Batumike. The artist invites the dancers to share his experiences and discover his universe.

Through choreographic phrases and improvisation, he will share with the dancers the origins of Congolese dance, the ndombolo, through his technique of hip-hop dances and exercises on the technique of control on the ground. Faraja will explore different dance styles and techniques, the relationship between body movement and music, and how to merge different vocabularies to create a hybrid body language and rich technique.

The theory and history of the origins of Afro-Urban dances will be part of these workshops, Faraja will also exploit the similarity of movements and cultural influences that through fusion, can create a new body language (dance style).
