Bryana Fritz and Thibault Lac shift Cervantes’ seminal work off centre, mixing together different variations of it (a song by Jacques Ibert, a version by Kathy Acker…), assembling snippets of different incarnations of Don Quixote. Identities slip, the narrative explodes and the audience, seated on stage, watches this queer and feminist quest centred on the fleeing, whimsical figure of the knight, a journey punctuated by armour, love and death.
