Louise Vanneste continually moves between rigour and emotion. Developed
with artists from other disciplines, her work seeks to create a sensitive narrative in
a constrained and aesthetically sophisticated world. A creation for nine performers,
9 forays is based on the imaginary worlds evoked by plants on the one hand and geometry on the other– “…for what they are liable to reproduce of the world’s rhythms and movements through the body and the gesture”. With a large group on stage she
is going to experiment with purely sensorial listening, through micro-impulsions that are sought out and duplicated, moving away from a more psychological approach. As in her earlier pieces, the choreographer establishes both a formal and intuitive development that questions perception, disrupting it wherever the sound – discrete and with a single theme – and silence take it, thus producing a singular subtle tension. A universe that vibrates with ours.
