Universally recognised choreographer Benjamin Millepied was director of the ballet of the Opéra de Paris for a while before resigning to devote himself to his own company in Los Angeles. It is this company of sixteen dancers that is coming to Charleroi, its only stopover in Belgium, to enthusiastically and skilfully defend his interpretation of Romeo and Juliet. Based on the eternal argument in the story of thwarted love, he moves it to our contemporary world. Millepied decided to film the dancers live and off stage behind the scenes, in the theatre or in urban settings. In this way he gives a completely familiar vision of it that is adapted to our environment. This literal approach is addressed to each and every one of us and reminds us that love can appear at our door
