While training at Maurice Béjart’s Mudra school, Michèle Noiret had a highly significant encounter with the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, going on to collaborate with him for some fifteen years.
She is one of the first Belgian choreographers to be passionate about interactive new technologies and includes them in her shows. From one creation to the next, she reinvents the form of her stage writing and explores recurrent questionings in depth during multidisciplinary dialogues between dance, music, lighting and the image. With her the stage is a meticulous assembly of these many languages, an image of the flows and interactions that govern our world.
How is it possible not to lose your footing in this permanent flow of movement? In this new piece, Michèle Noiret takes a group of five dancers on a mad race, travelling through fantastical landscapes disrupted by unfamiliar phenomena. Little by little a microsociety forms; a world is constructed and deconstructed in a constant tension between the real and the imaginary, immersing the audience in a show of extremes.
